The refuge Adamello Collini “al Bedole” takes place at 1640 m on the top of the Val Genova, in Western Trentino. It lies at the head of Pian di Bedole in the upper valley, at the foot of the spectacular circus of rocks and glaciers of Adamello and Presanella Group. Val Genova is one of the longest Alpine valleys, origineted from the shrink of the Adamello’s and Presanella’s glaciers; Adamello- Mandron glacier is the most estensive glacial surface in the Italian Alps, despite the fast shrink of the perennial snows. The tonalitic summits of the Adamello- Presanella Group, the innumerable waterfalls, out of all these the Nardis waterfalls, the forest of Norway spruce and larch, the huts still used, make the landscape changeable and rich of fascination. For his special feature, worthy of protection and careful management, the Val Genova is included in the territory of the Adamello Brenta Natural Park.
